OUR STORY
Preserving More Than Food — We Preserve Stories
Wooden Nickel Ranch began with a bowl of fresh raspberries and a call to Dad. He was always the canner in the family, and when it came time to try making my own jam, I turned to him for guidance. What started as a lesson in preserving fruit quickly grew into a passion for preserving memories.
Our name carries a family saying that goes back to my husband’s grandpa: “Don’t accept wooden nickels—"don’t be fooled.” For us, that phrase became a promise. At Wooden Nickel Ranch, what you see is what you get—authentic recipes, honest ingredients, and food made with care and love.

What We Believe In
At Wooden Nickel Ranch, our values are the secret ingredients
Every jar we make is more than just food—it’s a story. We want each taste to spark a memory: a grandmother’s kitchen, a family table, a moment of joy. Some of our most treasured experiences come from our customers, like the older gentleman who teared up after tasting our pickled beets because they reminded him of his late mother’s recipe. Those moments remind us why we do what we do.
We create for everyone: families who want food made with care, market-goers looking for something special, gift-givers who want to share a little love, and anyone who simply enjoys good, honest food. Our jars are filled with happiness, excitement, and the comfort of tradition—along with a touch of our playful side. After all, where else will you find pickled Brussels sprouts called Pickled Frog Balls?
At Wooden Nickel Ranch, our greatest joy is not only sharing what we make, but also the friendships and community built along the way. For us, it’s about more than pickles and jam—it’s about preserving love, laughter, and the memories that come with every bite.
